Fort Worth Zoo

The Fort Worth Zoo was recently ranked in Zagat Survey U.S. Family Guide as the No. 1 attraction in the entire Dallas/Fort Worth area and No. 19 among the "50 Overall Top-Rated Attractions" in the entire United States. The zoo is home to more than 1,200 creatures from around the world in lush, natural-habit settings. Tree-shaded, winding paths lead visitors to incredible exhibits like World of Primates, Asian Falls, FUJIFILMS Komodo Dragons, Koala Outback, and Thundering Plains.

 

Fort Worth Museum of Science and History

The Fort Worth Museum's core purpose is education: offering exceptional learning experiences in science and history to the diverse population of North Texas, particularly children, their families and educators. The Museum was the very first children's museum in Texas and one of the first children's museums in the nation.

 

Kimbell Art Museum

The Kimbell Art Museum is based on the concept of "an art institute" for the people of Texas that came from Kay Kimbell and his wife Velma Fuller Kimbell. Placed in a 9.5-acre park located approximately two miles from the center of downtown Fort Worth, the museum building faces west and looks out on an expansive green lawn with parallel rows of trees. Further west in the same park are neighboring museums: the Amon Carter Museum of Western Art, and the Art Center (now the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth).
